WELCOME to the WWPI BLOG
Quotes by wise women, both historical and contemporary,
who have had a positive influence on society and the world.
The purpose of this blog is to shine a light on historical as well as contemporary women who have, through their wisdom and courage, influenced the world in a positive way.
Starting January 1, 2021, I will be featuring each week a new, graphically designed quote by one of the women listed below. Many (but not all) of those women are pictured above. (It might be fun to test yourself to see how many of the women pictured above you can identify.) Each Friday a different women's wise words will be featured through a graphically designed quote. Each quote will include a photo of the woman (if available) as well as a short bio. My hope is that you will visit this blog each week for a new featured quote and be inspired by these amazing women.

WWPI WEEKLY QUOTES
In the early 70's I became proficient in calligraphy by practicing my new skill on quotes I had collected over the years. My love of calligraphy morphed into a love of fonts once I got my first Mac in the early '80s. (I currently have a collection of over 18,000 fonts efficiently organized with the Font Explorer app.) I have never lost my love for quotes and have collected hundreds of them over the years. This blog combines both my loves. Each weekly quote is graphically designed with a beautiful font. On each quote page I will include a short bio of the woman I am quoting, her picture and a link to her wiki page or website (if available). And for those of you who are "font-a-holics" like me, I will identify the font(s) used in each quote.
